The word “mangrove” refers to more than 50 species of salt-tolerant tropical coastal plants. Mangroves are essential to protect and stabilize coasts, as refuges of biodiversity and as a nursery for important fish species important for the fishing industries and subsistence of coastal communities. Come to this talk given by Mr. Edwin “Tony” Rodriguez and Mr. José Carlos Chang to explore the importance of mangroves for the Azuero coast.
