From June-August 2010, a research team headed by master’s student Natalia Reagan, supervised by Dr. Christina Campbell and funded through the Mohamed Bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund conducted a study of the locations inhabited by spider monkey populations on the Azuero peninsula.

Dr. Christina Campbell, Professor of Anthropology at California State University – Northridge, is the Azuero Earth Project’s lead scientist on spider monkey research and editor of the book Spider Monkeys: Behavior, Ecology and Evolution of the Genus Ateles.
